A £3 million project to refurbish the Students’ Union building at Teviot Row House, the first purpose-built Students’ Union in the UK, and probably the world. The building will become the hub of student activity, creating a flexible space for study and society, while retaining its unique and historical character.
Work has already begun on the stone façade and enabling disabled access. The rest of the redevelopment will create a modern space suited to the needs of 21st century students, including study and social spaces, wireless internet access to University Library resources, and meeting space for clubs and societies.
