Old College Quadrangle

This project will transform Old College Quadrangle into an elegant, welcoming space that can be used for graduation parties, University occasions and major festival performances.
Two distinguished architects (both alumni) – Playfair and Adam – designed Old College, however the Quadrangle has been left uncompleted for 200 years, gravelled over, and for many years used as a car park. Now architects Simpson and Brown have devised plans sympathetic to Playfair and Adam’s original intentions, which strike a perfect balance between conservation and the needs of modern users of the space.
